The first step is to find out that your transmission fluid level is correct by checking the dipstick with engine at operating temperature while idling in Park. DO NOT OVERFILL.
NOTE: your fluid doesn't get thin when it gets old, it gets THICK and dark due to contamination. The darker it is, the longer it's been siting there.1991 Audi 100 has trouble in reverse when warm?sounds like the transmission oil needs replacing,it,s getting a bit too thin1991 Audi 100 has trouble in reverse when warm?ok well i would say your transmission is starting to go bad this is what happened with my buick but they sell this stuff its lucas transmision something or other and it helped my car alot, it went good for about 5 or 6 months after but if you want to sell it maybe put some of that lucas stuff in there i dont agree with ppl being dis honest about cars but i know ppl do1991 Audi 100 has trouble in reverse when warm?
well your talking about a 17 year old car they should expect a couple of issues.
tell the new buyer that the car has/or will have trans issues (being strightforward is the best option here)and adding new fluid/filter and cleaning the valvebody may help
and sell the car
AS-IS/no warrenty
you could sell it as a driveable car that is great for parts etc... with a slight problem when going into reverse but it has a great engine, int, body, etc
goodluck
