German cars suck for labor and parts.
If its the entire head lite assembly its completey enclosed in a casing and in some cases they have to remove several parts around it just to get to that casing. It should take about 1.5 to 2 hrs from start to finish for a experianced tech. what they are charging you is normal. After 3 german cars 2 brand new I learned my lesson and will never own another. The lights must be slapped out with a big screw driver because they have one time use fasteneers. sometimes a pry bar works better. I own a 98' Audi A6 Quattro the headlight can and is not more than $300, plus to install it should take no more then an hour even for an IDIOT to install. I would take your car out of there ASAP. Their trying to take advantage of you because your a girl who is unfamiliar with cars and prices. But they'll get what's coming to them don't worry.
