However, to solve your adapter problem, try another brand. I know, they all look alike and work the same way, right? No. Had what sounds like a similar problem myself, and was using an XM branded adapter. Switched to a Jensen branded one, and it worked like a champ. Give it a try, its your easiest and cheapest solution.
