Do audi lights waste battery power when on during the daytime?

The R8, A5 etc always have their lights on during the day, i was wondering whether this was battery or solar powered somehow.Do audi lights waste battery power when on during the daytime?it does use battery power, but as long as the car is running, the battery power used is insignificant, since the engine is constantly keeping the battery fully charged up. (No solar power ... yet)

As soon as the engine is off (if the lights are still on) that's when the battery will start to drain. Depending on the car and the battery it has, you could have anywhere from 10 minutes to a couple of hours of light. Then, you turn the car back on (or jump start it!), the engine will charge the battery back to full!Do audi lights waste battery power when on during the daytime? They could, but since the alternator is charging the battery while the engine is running, it is really a very small drain on the battery, and the electrical system was designed to run them during the day. Do audi lights waste battery power when on during the daytime?all accessories run off the alternator when the car is running, the battery is just for starting the car and power when the car is not running.
