I'm guessing that you tried to start the car in gear. If this is so, the smoke that you saw will have been your starter-motor burning out after the solder in the coils melted due to overheating.

If you don't know what you are doing, find a good mechanic or garage to help you before you do any more damage. My Audi A4 1996 model burned the clutch and now cannot start after serveral attempts to force it in gear?If you mean that the engine is running but it will not go into gear to start off then from what you describe the clutch is totally worn out and needs a new one. 拢400 please thank you very much sir.My Audi A4 1996 model burned the clutch and now cannot start after serveral attempts to force it in gear?
