How do you shut the inspection light off in a 1998 Audi A4?

The light appears near the miles and stays on for about 20 seconds.How do you shut the inspection light off in a 1998 Audi A4?You should have two buttons as you look at your speedo .

Press and hold the right hand one, switch ignition on.

The letters OIL will appear in the trip display.

Release the button and press and release it again.

The letters INSP will show in the trip display.

Pull out the left hand button for about 2 seconds this

should reset the display.

Please note if your car is a 1997/98 registered you may

have to have it switched off using dedicated equipment.

1998 onwards can be reset using the above method.
