1997 Audi A4 TDi Saloon - How do I fold my seats down?

I have an Audi A4, it doesn't have split rear seats and I need to load something long into the car. Surely on a car like this you can put the seats down? If there is I can't find the buttons to unlock them. Many Thanks, John1997 Audi A4 TDi Saloon - How do I fold my seats down?Sorry mate, folding rear seats are an optional extra on an Audi - about 500 quid, too. That's probably why there aren't many about.

You might have a ski bag, though. Is there a fold-down armrest between the rear seats? If you've got it, there's a little panel that opens up, and you roll out a long thin bag for putting a pair of skis in, which you load through from the boot.1997 Audi A4 TDi Saloon - How do I fold my seats down?Sorry John, on the American models Audi has a solid metal sheet between the trunk and the rear seats. Only the European models have the passthrough you're talking about. Put it on the roof, or pull it with a trailer.1997 Audi A4 TDi Saloon - How do I fold my seats down?hi,

you cant lay them down, even on my newer version the back seats dont fold!! You can probably unbolt and remve the top part of the seat but thats it. Better still buy a roof rack.
