Can you put a sound system in an Audi TT?

I would like to know whether it is possible to put a sub/ amp in an audi tt. I have the sub, amp and wires for it but do I need to get a new stereo? And how easy would it be? But you can add a new amp without changing the stereo. And I am almost positive that the Audi TT has the Bang and Olfson sound system as an option.
