Is it fair to say VW is more upmarket than toyota/ ford but not quite luxury like BMW or mercedes or audi?

it seems to me that volkswagens in more recent years they are upscale european cars because of their upscale ergonomics, high design and typically higher pricepoint but not luxury cars or prestigous like bmw, audi, mercedes. would you agree or disagree?Is it fair to say VW is more upmarket than toyota/ ford but not quite luxury like BMW or mercedes or audi?yes I agree
