Is an Audi a3 expensive to run day to day?

Hi I'm 21 been driving for 18months and am looking to upgrade my 1.2 fiat punto for a an Audi a3 TDI (1997-2001) I've noticed as being a diesel car most of the used have done more than 110,000 miles is that good for the age? Also what are the running costs like on a car like this?Is an Audi a3 expensive to run day to day?I can't give you the actual figures, but expect the fuel consumption to be slightly higher than your Punto. Maintenance and repair bills would cost a lot more as it is a luxury hatchback.

Watch out if the car has a bad reputation for reliability, as frequent repairs would burn a hole in your pocket.
