Is this too many miles to buy a used Audi?

I found a 2001 Audi A4 1.8T with 140,000 miles on it.

It is a stick shift so i am a little worried about wear on the transmission but I believe Audi builds quality cars along with BMW and such.

Do you think this is too many miles to buy it at? I only need it to run another 3 years or so, back and forth to school.

$4000 asking. Is this too many miles to buy a used Audi?some of those a4 were real lemons, go to carcomplaints.com and check it out, engine transmission and electrical problems were common well I took a look and the 01 audi had no complaints, but only this year and at that mileage, you can expect some high mileage issues to start showing up, There are a lot of better cars out there, I guess you have to decide what is best for you and expecting an audi to run 3 years no problems? never its not going to happen, toyota, or a honda can, but not an audiIs this too many miles to buy a used Audi?Certain yrs of A4's were known for sludging.

I dont know why you believe BMW builds quality cars other than their advertising.

They were downrated for 2011 by Consumer Reports for reliability.

Take it to Audi for pre-purchase check; have them run it's VIN on their Audi-only database of Service Campaigns, Recalls, Tech Service Bulletins, etc.
