I bought an Audi A4 a couple of years ago. When I bought the car I purchased a service package that covered the 55,000 and 65,000 mile services that cost $799.00. Well I got my services completed and the two together only cost about $266.00. When I purchased this service agreement I was told that it was going to save me hundreds of dollars. As you can see it actually cost me hundreds of dollars. Does anyone know what I can do?Can I sue Phil Long Audi for stealing money from me?Learn from this and in the future, avoid any extended service contracts like this. In a huge majority of cases, they are a rip off and you don't get your money's worth, especially if the car is just a few years old.
So can you sue them? Yes. But you have to prove that they intended to steal your money from you. And be careful that they didn't use words like "Potentially" when they sold it to you (as in "potentially save hundreds of dollars"), or any other words that make it not a guarantee. Can I sue Phil Long Audi for stealing money from me?I'd talk to the sales manager and explain nicely. You can try to sue for fraud, because they HAD to know the job would cost less than your service agreement. If you get nowhere, say, okay, well I'll see you in court. You can file yourself for a small fee, for the five hundred bucks. Can I sue Phil Long Audi for stealing money from me?if they replaced the timing belt in addition to the other services, you got a great deal. call the dealership and ask them what it would cost to replace just the timing belt and you'll see.
