Where and How much Are superchargers for a 1996 audi a4 2.8l v6?

i am wondering where can i get a supercharger kit for my 96 audi a4 2.8l v6 and also how much they will cost?Where and How much Are superchargers for a 1996 audi a4 2.8l v6?older car, and your starting point is quite low (both hp %26amp; torque).

an installation to to get you anywhere close to 250 rwHP (power where it counts at the rear wheels) is going to cost big$ if you get anywhere close to a performance shop (say starting point $8000, depending on how much engine prep is needed).

If you really want performance, like in most situations....unless you have a home shop %26amp; talent its cheaper to buy power on the hoof, rather than do a build out of an existing vehicle.

cheersWhere and How much Are superchargers for a 1996 audi a4 2.8l v6?I do NOT think there is a bolt on supercharger application for your car.

The PES g2 (roots blower), bolts on to the next generation A4 (98 onwards, which was quite a diiferent engine than yours...190hp vs 172hp).

Similarly there is no turbo installation. It is certainly possible to do a custom application using a "generic" small turbo and having the plumbing/piping fabricated....but cost would be quite high....I would expect minimum $5000 and up depending on what has to be upgraded on your stock engine.

Additionally, you have to understand that forced induction (whether by supercharger or turbocharger) creates extreme heat %26amp; stress on an engine. Most stock engines can handle low boost (say 5-7psi)...and by way of specific example the PES g2 - which is bolt on for a 98 is rated at 275hp (when engaged) against stock profile of 190hp....increase of approx. 45%. This under formula (based on atmospheric pressure-but we need not go there_ )works out to a boost of just under 6lbs.

Fundamentally before you consider forced induction, you have to determine extent to which your engine can handle stress/heat of the installation. A performance shop can assist or alternatively get on line with Audi owners performance forum %26amp; see where other owners have gone.

Certainly many cars require enhancement to handle addition of quick/extreme power, by way of performance heads and building out the bottom end with race internals, and if that was necessary for you, it becomes a very costly exercise indeed (unless you have the equipment/skills to do much of the work yourself).

Quite frankly if you determine your engine can handle - stock - low boost installation, I would recommend you consider much cheaper/easy to install nitrous kit...like here

a short shot creates same stresses on an engine as does forced induction. It also serves the same purpose (rapid accleration at WOT-wide open throttle, for a short interval). In the same way nitrous, like a supercharger or turbo is a passive system, in other words it does not provide a general increas in HP, it provides power only when engaged.

In all cases with any of these systems if you do proceed on stock engine you are well advised to at a minimum to add performance headers, performance exhaust-catback and improved intake. You will also have to have engine's management system pro-tuned to advance ignition.
