When would someone have to install new turbos into an audi s4?

Would people usually do it just because or does an audi s4 engine have known problemsWhen would someone have to install new turbos into an audi s4?It all depends on the amount of stress that is put on the turbos. If the car is driven lightly and not beat on the turbos will last. If the car is driven hard, or has been heavily modded. Chipping the car will try and get a lot more out of the turbos and will cause them fail a little bit faster. Some people get lucky and they last over 100,000 miles, but that is rare unless the car is stock. Depending on your driving style, and the previous owners driving style it might be best to just wait for the stock turbos to fail, then replace them with some bigger(k04 rs4) turbos. These cars are known for their entensive maintence, especially at high mileage. When would someone have to install new turbos into an audi s4?If one blows you should replace both but some people upgrade both for more power, depends on what you do with the car and weather its a daily driver or a racer. When would someone have to install new turbos into an audi s4?When the cars were new or only a few years old most people waited until the K03 turbos let go and then replace them with K04 Turbos. Very few did it just because and K03's didn't have problems in S4 that weren't beat on or were left stock. K03's blow when the owners chip them and abuse them. Now, many 2nd and 3rd owners of S4's that have not already been modified do it because the cars are much less expensive to purchase now than they were new.

Buying a used S4 for 10K and spending 10K on a Stage 3 upgrade is much less expensive than having bought the S4 new for 40 grand and spending 10 grand on the upgrade.
