Is an audi s4 going to be too expensive for a teenager to maintain?

I'm looking into getting an audi s4... chipped... and am wondering, even with the ability to do labor and problem solving myself (we have quite the car garage, and we have diagnostic tools and EVERYTHING) would maintaining a 2000 audi S4, with say... 110k miles on it, be too much? just wondering what everyone else thinks, i don't really know how much these break or how much the parts would cost for them, so what does everyone else think? Is an audi s4 going to be too expensive for a teenager to maintain?Yes it will be expensive to maintain. It's a beautiful car. But Audi maintenance is not cheap. And with German cars, a great deal of the maintenance is difficult and specialized, which means really hard to do yourself, and not really possible to take to a cheaper mechanic. If you are a fan of German cars, I would suggest the GTI. I had one as a teenager and it was a blast. Is an audi s4 going to be too expensive for a teenager to maintain?
Unless your parents are going to pay for the maintenance of the car then it is my opinion that an S4 will be too much of a financial burden for you even if you do turn your own wrench. The S4's when not abused are terrifically reliable, the problem now is they are getting up their in age and miles.

You can search the tuner websites for the cost of replacement parts.

There are many more.Is an audi s4 going to be too expensive for a teenager to maintain? What! I'm on to my third high performance Audi but always trade when they get to three years and the manufacturers warranty is about to expire. The parts/labour/repair are horrendous. Buying an Audi with such a massive mileage will mean big, big costs. My brushed alloy wing mirrors (a feature of the S range) would cost be 拢700 ($1000) to replace if I needed to.

Also, a teenager in the UK would not get insurance for any of the S range, no way! I think the minimum age would be at least 25yrs to drive any high performance car.Is an audi s4 going to be too expensive for a teenager to maintain?
yes, repairs will be high because parts are more expensive. as far as maitenance being expensive on german cars because "the dealerships kill you on labour costs" that is not really true. they may be 20 or 30 dollars more an hour but the increased costs for maitenance does not come exclusively from labour. if labour was the same they would still cost more than a domestic vehicle to maintain.

-johnny waddIs an audi s4 going to be too expensive for a teenager to maintain?Figure in the range of $1,500 to $2,500 a year. The high will be the years you need tires the rest of the stuff is just maintenance on high millage cars.Is an audi s4 going to be too expensive for a teenager to maintain?
Have an extra grand or so to fall back on, and price out basic maintenance parts online. Euro cars have a bad rep for expensive repairs because the dealerships absolutely kill you with labor costs.
they are not bad cars until the miles get high. then you need to start replacing everything
